Responsibilities

  • Holds public hearings to receive proposals as well as environmental impact statements prior to action on land subdivision or other likely environmental disturbances, including but not limited to the use of:
    • Public facilities
    • Drainage systems
    • Traffic flow
    • Public safety
    • Schools
    • Recreation
  • Recommends changes to the Municipality’s Comprehensive Plan every ten years from the last effective date or more frequently as needed
  • Advises administrative appointee of the Municipal Manager as well as Municipal Council in matters related to planning, zoning, and development as required by Municipal Ordinance
