Fall 2016 Program Guide


We have exciting things planned for you in the Recreation and Parks Department!

Spring

Easter Egg Hunt - Children ages 2 -10 are invited to enjoy our annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Monroeville Community Park.

Jack Sedlak Memorial Clean-Up Day – Join together with neighbors, friends and family members in the annual tradition of making Monroeville a more beautiful place.

Summer

Monroeville Community Pool – What a better way enjoy a hot summer day than a dip in our pool. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It has a concession stand and all kinds of fun things planned.

Summer Discount Ticket Sales - Tickets are sold at a reduced price to many of the areas amusement parks and Pittsburgh Zoo.

Day Camps – Come join us for the best outdoor fun this summer. The camp is for ages 6-12 years of age. Camp activities include craft projects, recreational activities and athletic games.

Camp Chipewee – This camp will provide some summer fun for the mentally and physically handicapped youth ages 6 to 21 years of age.

Fall

Halloween Family Fun Night - Join us for an evening of goblin fun. The fun night is held at the Monroeville Community Park and includes activities, costume judging, hayrides and much more!

Mayor’s Clean Up - Join together with neighbors, friends and family members in the annual tradition of making Monroeville a more beautiful place.

Winter

Letters to Santa – All good little boys and girls can send a letter to Santa and receive a reply! Drop off boxes are located in the Monroeville Recreation Dept and Monroeville Public Library.

Snacks with Santa - Every child will have an opportunity to talk to Santa and give him their wish list. A snack will be provided!

Gingerbread House Contest - Kids and adults explore your talents and challenge your imaginations! It is divided into two groups, adults and kids ages 7 to 16.

Winter Ticket Sales - Tickets are sold at a reduced price to the area ski slopes.
