The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office
is holding a Firearms License Satellite Event at the Monroeville Police Department on Saturday, April 29th from 8am to 3pm. This event will allow you to register for a concealed carry permit in a convenient suburban location on a weekend; however, all the requirements to register are the same as if you were going downtown. Please see for more information on the requirements.

“Woods for Waters”...riparian buffer planting in Valley Park on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 9AM to 12PM. We will plant 200 trees over 1 acre to help improve water quality in Turtle Creek. Tree Trimming
...Duquesne Light’s subcontractor, Nelson Tree Service, will shortly begin trimming trees from electric lines on the following roads:

• Monroeville Road and Monroeville Boulevard from the Turtle Creek Boro Border line to Wyngate Drive
• James Street
• William Penn Highway (Route 22) from the Halls Station Bridge (Wilkins Township Border Line) to the McDonald’s on William Penn Highway (Route 22)


The Municipality of Monroeville, The Monroeville Municipal Authority, and the Monroeville Police are now on the Nixle system, which allows residents to sign up to receive messages regarding local emergencies. Alcosan's Clean Water Assistance Fund
...The Allegheny County Sanitary Authority has created the Clean Water Assistance Fund to help families pay their sewage treatment bills. This program serves low-income residential customers in the 83 municipalities that ALCOSAN serves. It is administered by Dollar Energy Fund. Unused medication disposal is now available at the Monroeville Municipal Building (rear entrance), 2700 Monroeville Blvd. The collection box shown above will be permanently located in the Police Department lobby and will accept all unused medications.
