Updated Home Rule Charter
... click here to view the updated Monroeville Home Rule Charter. The task of updating the Monroeville Home Rule Charter was commissioned in 2016 by Monroeville Council to selected members of the community who comprise the Ad Hoc Home Rule Charter Committee which consisted of:

• Dave Kucherer, Chairperson
• Ed Diehl, Vice Chairperson
• David Palermo
• John Ritter
• Bob Gordon
• Kathy Svilar

The HR Charter Committee began updating the Monroeville Home Rule Charter in early 2016. Subsequently, their report was submitted to Monroeville Council in January 2017. Referendum questions were placed on the ballot in the ensuing three (3) elections of 2017 and 2018. The results of the Monroeville residents voting on the referendum question have been incorporated into the updated edition of the Home Rule Charter. Hard copy editions are available at the Municipal Building for $10.00.

If you wish to appeal your recent billing for the Pollution Control and Flood Reduction billing, please complete the attached form and email or mail to: brownd@monroeville.pa.us or 2700 Monroeville Blvd. Monroeville, Pa 15146.   Under Ordinance No. 2689 of 2018, appeals must be filed within 30 days of receiving your bill; however, due to this being the first mailing of the billing, appeals will be received until February 15, 2019. Please keep in mind that appeals will only be considered under one (1) of the three (3) options on the form.
