A beautiful one lane bridge built for wagons to travel over was constructed completely out of cut stones. It has a slight raise in the middle and a stone arch. The stone foundation was covered with dirt to bring it up to the level of the road at either end.
It was once part of McGregory Road, which connected Beatty Road to Center Road before the Old William Penn Highway was constructed in the early 1920's. It was declared a historical landmark in 1982, and awarded a Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Plaque in 1985. The Little Stone Bridge is now under the care of the Monroeville Historical Society.
